Saltaire has the status of a World Heritage Site because of its international and national significance. To mark World Heritage Day 2019, we created our first online exhibition to demonstrate some of Saltaire’s global connections.
For a small ‘village’ centred around what was a large textile mill, situated seven miles from the centre of Bradford, Saltaire has always been connected to places around the world. This exhibition focused on some of those connections using items in our collection which have a story to tell about links with other nations.
