Oral History: Feliks Czenkusz
A 30-page oral History of Feliks Czenkusz, 1920-2015. Born in Poland, Feliks was a member of the Polish Junaks (cadets) when Hitler invaded Poland in 1939. He experienced an amazing journey as he tried to stay alive whilst captured by the Russian army and ultimately joined the Polish Free Forces, under British command, fighting from the heel of Italy until Germany was defeated. His arrival in England led to employment in Salts Mill after the end of the war.
