Oral History: Frank Senior – from packing to middle management
A 40-page oral history of Frank Senior, who started work at Salts Mill in 1933 and retired in 1983. Frank served in the RAF during World War Two but an early apprenticeship and his attendance at night school allowed him to progress his career at the Mill. He experienced some differing managerial approaches and his story is a useful insight to the production of cloth over 50 years.
