The Saltaire Collection is seeking a professional Conservation Consultant to support our experienced volunteers in the further development of their skills and to deliver a SPECTRUM compliant care and conservation policy, plan and procedures.
Time Allocated: 9-10 Days @ £300 per day (inc VAT)
Term: August 2026 to February 2027

Consultant role
The Saltaire Collection consists of over 7,000 objects, plans, documents, maps, and images that support interpretation of Saltaire’s industrial and social heritage.
The Collection’s day-to-day care, conservation and management is organised by committed and experienced volunteers supported by a lead trustee.
Our board of trustees have established an outline Collections Care and Conservation policy and plan. This requires further collaborative development with our volunteers. The Consultant will also provide training on the conservation and care procedures established by the policy and plan.
